HJC News - Va'eschanan/Nachamu

Kiddush this Shabbos is sponsored by Alex Adelman in memory of his father.

The married men's Garden of Peace Chabura will meet at the home of Yisroel Mendenhall, 4292 University Parkway, at 6:15PM.

A special Breakfast in honor of Heights Jewish Center's 150th anniversary will take place this Sunday at 9AM. A special presentation reviewing the first one and a half centuries of the shul will be made.  The charge is $5 per person.

HJC News- Devarim / Chazon

I will be speaking for the Zichron Chaim Women's Lecture Series this Shabbos at 5:15PM at Yavne.  The topic is entitled "For your own good".

The married men 's Garden of Peace
Chabura will take place this Shabbos at the home of Chanan Perkel, 4325 Groveland at 6:30 PM.

A special guest lecture by visiting
Rabbi Chaim Dahan will take place this Sunday, July 26 at 7:30 PM, for men and women. The talk is entitled: "Keeping the Unity in Community"

Deena's Class for women will meet this Tuesday at 12:45 PM at the home of Isabel Parks 2504 Brentwood Rd in Beachwood. The topic will be Tisha B'Av.
 
We have a unique program for Tisha B'Av this coming Thursday July 30. Shacharis starts at 8 AM.  The special Kinos program with insights will begin at about 8:45 AM and will continue through the morning.   In the afternoon there will be two video presentations. One by Project Inspire at 1:45 PM and another by the Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation at 3 PM
.

HJC News - Matos-Massei

All members of Heights Jewish Center are encouraged to please attend the Biennial Congregational Meeting on Sunday July 19 at 9:00AM, when all nominations for the Shul Board and Officers will be made for the next two years.  The elections will be held in October, but any and all nominations must be made at the July 19th meeting.  Your participation and involvement are encouraged and welcome.  A light breakfast will be served.

HJC News - Pinchas

Mazel Tov to Rabbi Yossi and Gila Kirsch on the birth of twin boys.  The Sholom Zochor(s?) will take place tonight at 24040 Wendover.

Mazel Tov to Alex and Betty Schnittlinger on the birth of a granddaughter, born to Rabbi and Mrs Sender Stoll.
