First Day Rosh Chodesh Adar Rishon (Friday, Feb. 8) 6:30 AM

Mazel tov to Rabbi Yehuda and Channah Appel and to Harold and Faiga Males on the recent engagement of Morty Appel.

This Shabbos (Feb.3) is Shabbos Mevorchim. Rosh Chodesh Adar Rishon is next Friday and Shabbos, February 9-10.

For the next couple of weeks, but ESPECIALLY this coming week, many of our daily regulars will be away. This will put a strain on the minyan, for both Shacharis and Mincha-Maariv. As I have stressed many times, even though we're not one of the BIG shuls, I know for a fact that it is so important for the whole Cleveland Jewish Community that HJC remains a full service shul, where people can rely on the presence of a minyan for each and every tefilla, seven days a week. Therefore, even if convenience has you usually davening elsewhere during the week, please join us for both Shacharis and Mincha-Maariv, or anything you can.

Here are a couple of insights into Parshas Yisro: https://audio.hjcs.org/series/parshas-yisro-54
//////

Two (or three) upcoming events you will want to add to your calendar:

On Sunday February 11 at 9am, HJC will have another installment of our very successful Ask the Rabbi Hot Topics Breakfast.

The Ladies of Heights Jewish Center present:
It's practically Shabbos! Prover suggestions for bringing back the beauty of Shabbos.

Two sessions:
Session One: On Sunday, February 18th at 8pm - Shabbos on one foot; Tips and tricks to make Shabbos simply and quickly without sacrificing beauty or peace of mind.
Session Two: On Wednesday, February 18th at 8pm - A day of Serenity; An interactive workshop designed to help you curate a truly peaceful Shabbos.
See the flyer for more details. RSVP the office. Sponsorships are still available.

Good Shabbos!
