Fwd: FW: FW: [BULK][EXT] Special (Virtual) Israel Program: Thursday, December 1st at 8:00pm

In conjunction with Lincoln Square Synagogue in Manhattan, Heights Jewish Center is hoping that you can attend this very informative zoom meeting tonight for a discussion  regarding Israel, the elections and the relationship between Israel and America.

Hope to see you on-line!

Please join us this Thursday at 8:00pm for a far-reaching discussion regarding Israel, the recent elections, the peace process and the relationship between Israelis and American Jews.

Helping us make sense of it all will be Yaron Deckel. Yaron is one of the most well-known and respected journalists in Israel. His career spans over three decades of reporting. He has also served as Editor in Chief of Galei Tzahal, the IDF radio station.

As political reporter and commentator for both radio and television, for the past three decades, Yaron has closely followed the ins-and-outs of Israeli politics and governance, developing close relationships with all the decision makers in Israel, including top politicians and military leaders. He has covered the last 12 Israel's election campaigns. Yaron won the Sokolov Award, the most prestigious award for journalists in Israel. He is currently serving as the Jewish Agency for Israel Regional Director to Canada, based in Toronto.

In his talk, Yaron will take us through the developments and changes in the relationship between Israel and the American Jewish community, will talk about the peace process over the years, especially the recent Abraham Accords, and will look forward to what we can expect. Moderating the discussion will be Gali Rabin, the schlicha for the UWS.

This will be a virtual program. To join, please use this link
