HJC News - Chayei Sarah

Mazel Tov to Phil and Kim Setnik on the engagement of their son Getzel to Nechama Bayla Appelbaum, daughter of Boruch and Susan Appelbaum.

Shalosh Seudos is sponsored by Larry and Phylis Pomerantz in honor of the Yahrzeit of Dovid Ben Eliezer Zusha.  At Shalosh Seudos, we will be continuing the series called "Extremely Practical Ideas in Avodas Hashem."

With the resumption of Standard Time, Mincha is much much earlier, and Minyanim become much more challenging to assemble.  If you can help make the minyan, please do so.

On Shabbos November 22, Heights Jewish Center is joining Jewish Learning Connection and Young Israel of Greater Cleveland in welcoming noted speaker Rabbi Mordechai Becher. Rabbi Becher will be joining us for Shabbos Mincha, and then be our Guest Speaker at Shalosh Seudos, speaking on the topic "Daas Torah, Infallibility and Rabbinic Authority." All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The next Simcha Kiddush will be for November and December Simchos. The Kiddush will take place on December 13th. All are invited to celebrate their simchas for the month (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) by co-sponsoring a cholent kiddush for as little as $18 per name (you can donate more if you wish).

Good Shabbos
Rabbi Davidovich
