HJC News - Parshas Balak

We are very excited that our Children's Shabbos Program has gotten off to such a great start!  Thanks to our Coordinator Chaya Leba Winters, and to Tova Herskovic for filling in last Shabbos.  While Chaya Leba is on maternity leave from the Program, we're pleased to announce that Shalva Davidovich will be running the Program!  As always, thank you to Rabbi Kirsch for his incomparable sharing of Torah with the older kids.

Remember - the Program starts at 9:15 and runs until Kiddush.
Rabbi Kirsch has the older kids from 10:15 to 11:00 (or so).

Mazel Tov to Rabbi Yosef and Gila Kirsch on the upcoming Bar Mitzvah and Aliyah L'Torah of their sons Aviezer and Eliyahu!  We have been zoche to watch them grow into fine young men here at Heights, and wish them only the best, and continued growth in Torah, Chuppah, and Ma'asim Tovim! Kiddush this Shabbos is sponsored by Rabbi and Mrs Kirsch in honor of their sons' Bar-Mitzvahs.

Mazel Tov to Herschel and Chaya Winters on the birth and Bris of their son Michoel Simcha.  Please take note of the mealtrain link. If you are able to send a meal it would be very appreciated.

Condolences to Joel Goldstein on the passing of his mother Shaindel Leah A'H. Joel will be sitting shiva in Chicago and can be contacted at 732-309-8406.

Remember, the fast of Shiva Asar B'Tammuz is this Sunday. The customs of the "Three Weeks" begin after Shabbos. The schedule for the fast is included in this email. And remember, in case you can't find an email, the Shul's schedule can be found at the top of the shul's homepage hjcs.org.

This week at Shalosh Seudos, I will be sharing some memories of my recent trip to Eretz Yisrael, and speaking about an amazing Rebbe I heard while there, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Morgenstern Shlita.

All the Shiurim that were on hold while we were in Israel resume next week.
