HJC News - Parshas Mikeitz - Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Chanukah

Refuah Sheleima to Fred Bolotin.

Please note that Mincha is scheduled for 4:32pm today.

Due to the weather, there will be no youth programs in shul this Shabbos.

Please note that while we are not having Children's Programming, we are still having Davening and Shiurim!  It's Shabbos/Rosh Chodesh/Chanukah and we will need as many of you hardy souls as we can get to ensure we have a minyan.  (Three hagbahs and gelilahs means we need even more people!)  Please be safe - that's first - but we look forward to seeing you in Shul.

The Coffee Club this Shabbos is sponsored by Michael and Leah Davidson.

Shalosh Seudos is sponsored by Hillel and Zahava Seltzer to commemorate the yahrzeits of Zahava's father, Gershon Adler, HaChaver Gershon ben HaChaver Gad Meir, and Hillel's mother, Barbara Seltzer, Bayla bas Harav Yekusiel Peretz.

The stone setting for Barbara Seltzer, Hillel's mother, will be on January 1st at 2pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon.

HJC News - Parshas Vayeishev - Shabbos Mevorchim - Cholent Kiddush

Please join us tonight for an Oneg, including food, niggunim, divrei Torah, and friendship at the home of Yoyo and Marni Moore, 2392 Bromley, starting at 8:15pm. The event will be combined with a Sheva Brachos in honor of the Moores' nephew Tzvi Moore and his Kallah Merav.
We look forward to seeing you there! Both men and women are invited.

A Cholent Kiddush, with rolls available is co-sponsored by Rob and Jan Altshuler thanking Hashem for the ability to spend the winter in Florida;
and by Yoyo & Marni Moore & family in honor of the marriage of their nephew Tzvi Moore to Merav Mallory of Las Vegas, NV.
Please join the sit down kiddush & final Sheva Brachos honoring the Choson and Kallah.

The Coffee Club will meet this Shabbos morning at 8:30am, with the Parsha Shiur learning Torah Ohr.

Remember that babysitting and childrens' programs are eager to see your children Shabbos morning. Rabbi Kirsch's youth group starts at 10:15am.

The Navi Shiur began Sefer Yechezkel last Shabbos, learning about the Merkava, "God's Chariot". Now is the perfect time to join the shiur, an excellent prelude to Shabbos Mincha.

This week at Shalosh Seudos. I will be speaking about Rav Yitzchak Hutner, whose Yohrtzeit was the 20th of Kislev.

The shul's snowbirds are flying away for the winter, increasing our needs for weekday minyan participation. If you're not at work at 4:45pm this week, we'd love to see you. We haven't missed a minyan yet this season and we don't want to either.

This Shabbos is Shabbos Mevorchim. Chanukah starts this Sunday night with the first Chanukah candle.
Rosh Chodesh Teves is next Shabbos and Sunday.

The Simcha Kiddush will take place next Shabbos, Shabbos Chanukah, Rosh Chosesh Teves. Please contact the office to co-sponsor for a minimum of $18 a name.
