HJC Shacharis at 6:30am this Monday and Tuesday (Rosh Chodesh)

Hello everyone,

We are just sending out the reminder that Shacharis at HJC tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday is scheduled for 6:30am, due to it being Rosh Chodesh.

Then on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we will resume with our regular 6:45am time.

I look forward to seeing you, and davening with you again.

Psalm 122 starts:
Shir Hamaalos L'David.
I rejoiced when people said to me, "Let us go up to the House of Hashem."

Thank you
Rabbi Davidovich

Fwd: Agudah/Chasdei Lev Covid Relief Fund

Dear Member  or Friend of Heights Jewish Center Synagogue.

We are experiencing trying times like never before.  There are members of our congregation who have been hit hard financially
due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and the resultant work stoppage.  In cooperation with Agudah Israel, we have been able to establish an assistance fund to aid these members.  Agudah is matching shul contributions 3 to 1, up to a maximum total grant of $2,000.00 per family, based on their formula.
Please go to the following website to apply for assistance:

·         IMPORTANT! To be eligible, the applicant must have either:

a) lost their job due to COVID-19 illness or subsequent shutdown AND is unable to access sufficient unemployment benefits to match their income prior to Covid-19.

b) suffered a significant drop in income because of COVID-19 illness or shutdown AND is unable to access sufficient unemployment benefits to match their income prior to Covid-19.

  • We are required to make sure that applicants are accessing other resources through Gesher such as unemployment benefits, utility assistance, etc. This way we can ensure that we are driving all possible communal and governmental resources to help our families in need.
  • Final determination of eligibility will be made by Agudah's task force.
If you are in a position to assist by donating to this worthy cause please go th the same website, and click on the 'donate' button

May we all know better times, soon!

Rob Altshuler, President, HJCS
