Fwd: Agudah/Chasdei Lev Covid Relief Fund
Dear Member or Friend of Heights Jewish Center Synagogue.
We are experiencing trying times like never before. There are members of our congregation who have been hit hard financially
due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and the resultant work stoppage. In cooperation with Agudah Israel, we have been able to establish an assistance fund to aid these members. Agudah is matching shul contributions 3 to 1, up to a maximum total grant of $2,000.00 per family, based on their formula.

· IMPORTANT! To be eligible, the applicant must have either:
a) lost their job due to COVID-19 illness or subsequent shutdown AND is unable to access sufficient unemployment benefits to match their income prior to Covid-19.
b) suffered a significant drop in income because of COVID-19 illness or shutdown AND is unable to access sufficient unemployment benefits to match their income prior to Covid-19.
- We are required to make sure that applicants are accessing other resources through Gesher such as unemployment benefits, utility assistance, etc. This way we can ensure that we are driving all possible communal and governmental resources to help our families in need.
- Final determination of eligibility will be made by Agudah's task force.
