Mazel Tov to Jeff and Linda Bookman on the recent birth of a granddaughter, Chaya Rivka, born to Josh and Goldy Bookman.

This Shabbos at Shalosh Seudos, we will continue our "Highlights of Mesilas Yesharim" with a discussion on the trait of "Chassidus".

Deena Davidovich's Monday morning women's class has started a new topic: "Ethics of our Fathers, For Mothers", studying Pirkei Avos, looking at applying its lessons to wives and mothers.  Please join Deena on Monday mornings at 9:15AM at 3791 Severn Rd. All women are welcome, along with young children. 

Rabbi Tsvi Schur has just released a new book,"Moments of Inspiration". I have read it and I think it is a "must-own" and a "must-read" for anyone who wants a taste of that sweetness, strength and inspiration that Rabbi Doniel Schur zt"l offered to so many for so long.  The book is available at Franks. 

Rosh Chodesh is this Wednesday. Shacharis will be at 6:35 AM.

Condolences

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Pearle Goldman, mother of Sharon Klein and grandmother to Debbie Schlesinger. 

The funeral will take place Sunday, January 1st, 2012, 1:30pm at the Montefiore Home, 1 David N. Myers Parkway, Beachwood, OH. 
Burial at Mt Sinai Cemetery on SOM Center Rd.

Shiva will take place at the home of Sharon Klein (no minyanim), 2165 Campus Rd., Beachwood, OH until Friday afternoon.

Condolences to Rabbi Yehuda Appel on the passing of his father. Rabbi Appel is sitting Shiva at his home 23312 Beachwood Blvd.  Shiva and Minyan times, as reported on localjewishnews.com, are as follows:


Friday Shacharis 8am,  Shiva hours Friday 9am-12pm,  Sat night: 7:30-9:30pm,  Sunday Shacharis 8:30am, Mincha 4:45pm. General Shiva times: 10 til 12:pm, 3-6 , then 7:30-9:30pm.

Monday –Tuesday: Shacharis  8am, Mincha 4:45 pm. Shiva times as above. Wednesday Shacharis 8am only.


This Sunday, January 1 at 1:30 PM, the Shul will have a party to design the mask Purim card that we will be producing.  Light refreshments will be served.  Bring your creativity. For children 5 and under, an adult is required.


Thursday is Asara B'Teves, a fast day.  
The fast begins at 6:40 AM. 
Shacharis begins at 6:40 AM.  
Mincha will be at 4:40 PM. 
The fast ends at 5:55 PM.
