HJC News - Lech Lecha

Kiddush this Shabbos is sponsored by the Adato Clan "in honor of all geeks great and small."

This Shabbos, the Shabbos afternoon Navi shiur will begin learning Sefer Yeshaya (Isaiah).

Shalosh Seudos is sponsored by the regular attendees of the Shabbos afternoon Navi Shiur in honor of the completion of the learning of Nevi'im Rishonim. There will be a Siyum on Nevi'im Rishonim at Shalosh Seudos.

The Cleveland Jewish FEDERATION's Super Sunday is this Sunday November 2.  If you can volunteer to make calls for a few hours on Sunday, please do so. If you receive a call, please make a pledge, and even increase your pledge.  Our community is the beneficiary of the Federation's largesse in several very real and tangible ways. Making Federation one of the recipients of our Tzedaka funds just makes so much sense in so many ways.

Please remember to vote this coming Tuesday, November 4. Our community's turnout in elections is noted, regardless of who people vote for.

On Shabbos November 22, Heights Jewish Center is joining Jewish Learning Connection and Young Israel of Greater Cleveland in welcoming noted speaker Rabbi Mordechai Becker. Rabbi Becker will be joining us for Shabbos Mincha, and then be our Guest Speaker at Shalosh Seudos, speaking on the topic "Daas Torah, Infallibility and Rabbinic Authority." All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

CORRECTED HJC News - Noach/Rosh Chodesh

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who made the Yomim-Tovim so beautiful this year.  I want to thank all the Baalei Tefilla, Baalei Kria, Baalei Tekia, Gabbaim, Kiddush organizers, Luncheon organizers, building maintainers, event organizers, auction organizers and auction bidders, and all those who attended all the tefillos and events, for making this the most beautiful Tishrei in my memory.  I pray that all those Tefillos are answered and that we experience a wonderful year of sweetness and simcha.
