At Shalosh Seudos, I will speak about Chapter Three of Pirkei Avos and connect it to the life of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk, one of the earliest Chassidishe Rebbes in Russia and founder of the Chassidic Community in the Holy Land. His Yohrtzeit was the 1st of Iyar.

Save the date: Sunday May 26, Lag B'Omer, at 9am, (that's a week from this Sunday) the shul's Gemara Chabura - Martin Lipman, Dr. Rick Prizant, Mike Swerski and Chuck Zeitler - will sponsor an Ask the Rabbi Breakfast, in honor of their siyum on Masechta Beitzah. All are welcome to attend, and enjoy the meal, and submit questions, either in advance by emailing me, or from the floor during the breakfast.

Monday May 27 is the day of University Heights' Memorial Day Parade. A group of HJC people are interested in building on the very successful Kosher Hot Dog and snack Stand we ran last year at the conclusion of the Parade. This Shabbos we begin the weekly learning of Pirkei Avos by learning Chapter 1. 
This week at Shalosh Seudos I will learn a selection of Pirkei Avos and speak about Rabbi Yoshe Ber (Yosef Dov) Soloveitchik, Rov of Boston and Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva University, whose yohrtzeit was the 19th of Nissan.

The weekly Tanya shiur for women resumes this Tuesday evening at 7:!5pm at the Dynan home, 2260 South Belvoir. All women are invited, even if you haven't attended before.

HJC News - Shabbos Chol Hamoed Pesach and the concluding days of Pesach.

Here is the schedule for this Shabbos and the remaining days of Pesach.
Tonight we are making early Shabbos in Shul, with Mincha at 6:40pm. Please join us on time. 
This Shabbos, 30 minutes before Mincha, I will be giving a special Pesach Shiur, which will be a stand-alone shiur but also an extension of the Shabbos Hagadol Drasha.  
Also, please note that the shul will not have a Shalosh Seudos tomorrow after Mincha.
