HJC Torah and News - Parshas Lech Lecha -Cholent Kiddush
There is a special Cholent Kiddush this Shabbos after davening, sponsored by friends and neighbors of Heights Jewish Center in honor of the community. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Please let everyone know, children are welcome at HJC; our Shabbos morning programs for children have resumed.
This Shabbos morning, we will have babysitting for children 5 and under with Riva Weinstock Eisenberger starting at 9:30am,
and a youth program for older children with Rabbi Kirsch starting at 10:15am.
The biennial General Membership meeting to elect a new slate of offers and members of the Board, and vote for or against a proposed amendment to the Shul's By-Laws to simplify elections, will take place this Sunday, October 17, at 9:30am at the shul. If you are a "full" member of HJC, please plan on attending this brief meeting to ensure a quorum.
The next Simcha Kiddush is taking place NEXT Shabbos, October 23rd. Everyone is welcome to co-sponsor for a minimum donation of just $18.00 per name or reason. Contact the office by email at hjcsoffice@gmail.com or phone (216) 382-1958 with your name submissions.
Rebbetzin Deena Davidovich is resuming her class for women this coming Monday, October 18 at 9:15am at the Moore home, 2392 Bromley Rd. Children are welcome. The theme of the resumed class is Tefilla.
Mazel Tov to Shami and Chani Kirsch on the naming of their daughter Devorah Miriam. Mazel Tov to grandparents Rabbi and Mrs. Yosef Kirsch.
