HJC Torah and News- Mikeitz/Chanukah/Rosh Chodesh

Today's shiur, about the special nature of Hallel on Chanukah.
Length: 6m1s

(My offer to devote a class a week to answering questions from the "audience" still stands.)

Condolences to Ari Auerbach on the passing of his mother.

This Shabbos and Sunday are Rosh Chodesh Teves.

The Kiddush this Shabbos is sponsored in part by the Setnik family, on the occasion of the upcoming first yahrzeit of Elaine Setnik a"h, Ilka bas Moshe Yosef.

After Kiddush, there will be a Luncheon for those who RSVP'd, at which time the newly elected Board and Officers will be installed. Thank you to Larry and Brabara Mervine for co-sponsoring the luncheon.

At Shalosh Seudos I will be speaking about the Raavad, Rabbi Avraham ben David, most famous for arguing with the Rambam, whose yahrzeit was the second day of Chanukah.

This Motzoei Shabbos, December 4, at Maariv, we will begin to say "V'sein Tal U'Matar" in the Shemoneh Esrei.

Good Shabbos, Happy Chanukah and a Good Chodesh.
