This Sunday with HJCS

Good evening , (or good erev Shabbos, depending on when you see this.
I want to share some exciting news with you:   This Sunday morning at 10:00 A.M., we will continue our zoom interaction, with a bit of a twist.  With Pesach starting motzie Shabbos, many Rabbis give their Shabbos HaGadol Drasha on Shabbos, one week earlier.  Since many of our members have not yet returned to shul for davening, Rabbi Davidovich will be sharing insights with us by zoom on Sunday morning, in addition to his 'in person' drasha at shul this Shabbos.

The link below will give you access to the morning get-together.
Have a great Shabbos, and a gut yontif

A Message from Rob Altshuler:
Hi Everyone,

I want to briefly inform you about some of things that have been going on at the shul.

We continue to offer a safe environment for daily and Shabbos davening, while conforming to state guidelines. While we have unfortunately had some members who have contracted Covid 19, it seems that, Baruch HaShem, no one has passed it along within the shul. We are very much looking  forward to the return to normalcy once we are given the ok from our Medical Advisory Committee!

We are doing our best to take advantage of the situation and have been working to restore the building's physical grandeur. Thanks to the generous donations from the following members and friends, the main sanctuary ceiling is being repaired and repainted and is due to be completed in the next few days. Thank you to: Steve and Beth Baker, Gedalia and Holly Corbett, Joel and Sharon Peerless, John Sommerville, Irwin and Lorna Shulman, Ted and Lorinda Lidsky, Gershon and Mary Ireland, Rick Prizant and Alyza Shapiro, and Peter Friemark. Your commitment to HJCS is very appreciated!

And something that I hadn't noticed until recently is that Rabbi Davidovich received the Good Neighbor Award from the City of University Heights. Mazal tov on this well deserved award.

Lastly, welcome new members, Charlie and Lisa Beer.
