The Eiruv is back up and Kosher. As the community knows, the Cleveland Eruv Society has the Eruv checked every week and repairs and fixes it on an as-needed basis. Many have urged us over the years, in the interests of necessary fundraising, to allow the Eruv to go unchecked one week, so the community could truly understand what Shabbos would be without it. We have always refused to take such drastic measures. This week, however - entirely through non-man-made events - we all got a chance to experience the lack of an "Eruv" due to the damage done to poles and wires because of the storm.
