HJC Shavuos Plans

Hello everyone,

Here is the Shul's Shavuos schedule. I am putting this ahead of this Shabbos's Schedule because for some reason, people are panicking! "Rabbi, is the shul doing Shavuos this year?"
As a wise man once wrote, "Don't panic."

Please note that the early minyan on the first morning of Shavuos needs to be confirmed.
One of the things we lost during COVID that we haven't yet found is our Shavuos Vasikin (Sunrise) minyan. I never attended this minyan, as I prefer to daven at 9am. But it is considered a matter of basic shul functioning to have this minyan exist. It also encourages people to join us for the learning and shiurim throughout the night.
If you can join HJC for next Wednesday morning's Vasikin minyan, please let me know by replying to this email.

As far as Shavuos night goes, I would like to try something a little different this year.
Based on the excitement of my recent Poland trip, that I was fortunate to share a smidgen of with you this past Shabbos morning and Shabbos afternoon, I plan on structuring the Shavuos night learning around the highlights of the trip.

Assuming a starting time of 12:30am, the rough approximation of the night's learning will be:
12:30am-1:30am: Lublin and Galicia: Rav Tzadok HaCohen of Lublin, the Bnei Yissaschar and Rav Leibele Eiger: Torah and Chassidus in Poland
1:30am-3am: Cracow: The Rama, the Tosfos YomTov and the BaCH.. Classic Polish Torah
3am-4:30am: Reb Elimelech of Lizensk, the Chozeh of Lublin and Reb Simcha Bunim of Pshis'cha.

The Schedule has names in the titles. In my own way, the shiurim will include history, biography, in-depth Torah insights of theirs and about them.
